Telemetry
Enable a monitoring instance to run Grafana on your Hetzner account, then turn on metrics, logging, and alert contact points.
Components
| Component | Description |

| Monitoring instance | Account-level Grafana stack. Required before metrics, logging, or contact points |
| Metrics | Collects metrics from your infrastructure and exposes them in Grafana |
| Logging | Collects logs from your infrastructure and exposes them in Grafana |
| Contact points | Alert notification destinations (Slack webhooks) |
In the console
Choose Telemetry in the navigation pane, then Overview, Contact Points, Logging, or Metrics.
Typical order
- Enable the monitoring instance and wait until Status is Ready.
- Open Grafana from the connection URL on the overview page.
- (Optional) Enable metrics and logging.
- (Optional) Create contact points for alert notifications.
Note
Each account supports one monitoring instance. Disable metrics and logging before you disable monitoring.
