Monitoring instance

A monitoring instance provisions Grafana for your account. Metrics, logging, and contact points require a ready monitoring instance.

In the console

Choose Telemetry, Overview.

To enable monitoring

  1. Choose Telemetry, Overview.
  2. Turn on Enable Monitoring.
  3. Wait until Status is Ready.

When the instance is ready, the page shows a connection URL and an Open Grafana link.

Grafana

Use the connection URL or Open Grafana to sign in and view dashboards. Database clusters can deep-link into MySQL or PostgreSQL dashboards from the console when monitoring is ready.

To disable monitoring

  1. Disable metrics and logging if they are enabled.
  2. On Telemetry, Overview, turn off Enable Monitoring.
  3. Confirm termination.
Important You cannot disable monitoring while metrics or logging instances are still active.
