Create a cache

Create a managed Redis or Valkey cache from Cache, Create Cache.

Prerequisites

To create a cache

  1. Open the myStack console and choose Cache, then create a cache.
  2. For Name, enter a unique cluster name.
  3. For Availability Zone, choose a zone.
  4. For Engine, choose Redis or Valkey and a version (options load after you choose a zone).
  5. For Server type, choose an instance size.
  6. For Password, enter a password. Store it securely; it may only be shown at create time.
  7. (Optional) Set the initial replica count (extra replicas beyond the primary).
  8. Choose Save.

myStack redirects you to the cache detail page. Wait until Status is Ready before connecting.

Important Cache names must be unique in your account.
