Configure connectivity

Each database cluster has a managed security group. Client access requires an inbound rule for your source CIDR.

To open port 3306

  1. Open the cluster detail page and choose the attached security group.
  2. Choose Edit.
  3. Choose Add inbound rule.
  4. For the port, enter 3306. For the source, enter your CIDR (for example, 203.0.113.10/32).
  5. Choose Save.
  6. Wait until security group Status is Ready.
Note Managed replication rules on port 3306 may appear disabled. Add a separate enabled rule for your client CIDR.
