Add and remove members

Add replica-set members to scale reads and enable switchover.

To add a member

1. Confirm cluster Status is Ready.
2. Choose Add server.
3. Choose an availability zone and server type.
4. Confirm and wait until the new member row shows Ready.

Verify replication

1. Confirm the read/write and read-only domains differ when multiple members exist.
2. Write a document through the read/write domain.
3. Read the same document through the read-only domain (allow brief replication lag).

To delete a member

1. On the member row, open the actions menu and choose Delete server.
2. Confirm the deletion.
3. Wait until the member row is removed.
